SOC 2 Type 1 Certification
As an embedded extension of our customers’ products, we put security and controls at the center of everything we do here at Paragon. Being in the embedded integrations space means that information must be properly secured at 2 levels: for our customers, and for their customers.
In order to meet these expectations both internally and externally, we needed to ensure customers receive unbiased assurance that they can rely on our commitments to these efforts.
That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that Paragon has successfully completed a Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 audit and certified as of February 18th, 2022. SOC 2 is an internationally recognized auditing procedure that was developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), and the reports are prepared by independent auditors.
SOC 2 reports focus on the its 5 defined “trust service principles” - Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy.
In order to pass the SOC 2 Type 1 audit, we had to demonstrate and document that our systems and infrastructure are suitable for meeting the criteria that fall under each of the 5 principles. Our audit resulted in no exceptions to the related controls, which give further reassures us that our customers can confidently rely on Paragon to handle their data.
Since day 1, we have been committed to providing enterprise-grade security, availability, and performance, as demonstrated by Paragon being the only embedded integration platform with on-premise deployment. Our SOC 2 certification simply provides 3rd-party validation that we are supporting our customers with the best security practices, and we will pursue ongoing audits and certifications for continued validation.
